Hi Adam here, talking Mens Winter Fashion in a rare front of house contribution to Rock My Style. I’ll be sharing a few of my favourite mens winter coats, woolly winter jumpers and a selection of warming accessories – all for him. Everything I’m talking about is this season (so perfect for Christmas presents) and there are a few discount bargains thrown in there that will hopefully still be available to buy if you’re quick!
Anyone who knows me will know that I do about 90% of my shopping in TK MAXX… I’m a sucker for a bargain and unlike a lot of people I am happy to wade in and dig for one jumble sale style. However, since Miranda switched me on to the Marie Kondo way of thinking I’ve been contemplating my purchases a little more carefully. Bargain hunting can be more about a good deal rather than an actually good wardrobe. With that thought in mind I’ve been scouring the highstreet and creating a mens winter fashion wishlist based purely on aesthetics… Old habits die hard though so there are a few tasty bargains thrown in too. You’re welcome!
JUMPERS | TOPMAN @ £50.00 & ASOS @ £28.00
I’m ready for a roll neck… I know they have been back “in” for a while now but it always takes me a little while to commit to a new trend. This mega wooly Topshop chunky rollneck will be great when the winter starts proper but until then this asos Merino crew neck will be just the ticket, lightweight but warm enough and I love the colour.
JUMPERS | SUPERDRY @ £39.99 & BARBOUR @ £119.00
Get ready for the first bargain, the Superdry grey cable knit has an RRP of £74.99 but you can get it online from… Yes you guessed right, TK MAXX for £39.99 although it is only available in small or medium. If you miss out on that deal it’s time to go big or go home… The Barbour pure wool jumper is a significant investment topping a hundred pounds but the quality and finish is as you would expect from this established label.
COATS | ASOS @ £80.00 & TOPMAN @ £140.00
I’ve been looking to replace my winter coat for about 4 years now. This season I am spoilt for choice and love the colour and relaxed cut of the asos hooded wool coat and it is very cheap for a winter coat. For smarter occasions this Rogues Of London Black Sorrento Coat via TOPMAN fits the bill perfectly and doesn’t break the bank either.
COATS | WITHOUT PREJUDICE @ £79.99 & REISS @ £275.00
Bargain time again, if you buy this dark grey overcoat from Without Prejudice via TK MAXX you will save £270 on the RRP. Available in small, medium and large. I’m buying one. I already own a REISS coat and it has served me very well so I can’t ignore this super stylish and yet understated double breasted REISS peacoat. I hear the girls at Rock My Style talking regularly about day-to-night dressing… This coat fits that bill perfectly. That thought can help justify the high price tag. Sort of.
ACCESSORIES | SCARF @ £18.00, GLOVES @ £39.99, TRILBY @ £19.99 & BOBBLEHAT @ £25.99
First of all I feel I need to point out that if you buy this amazing black and white scarf from TOPMAN you don’t have to wear it like the numpty in the picture. He has clearly never seen a scarf before and he’s struggling with it. Wear it normally and you’ll look cool. The leather and herringbone gloves from asos are fashionable yet practical and i’d love to get my hands on a pair if you’ll excuse the incredibly poor glove related pun. The Trilby is French Connection and once again via TK MAXX… I can’t help it – I love bargain, this time its a modest saving of £20.00 and if the trilby is not for you then get yourself a Ted Baker Bobble hat. They are also available without the bobble but where is the fun in that?
If you’ve got any other suggestions for where I should be looking now that I am trying to expand my retail horizons beyond “The MAXX” then please do let me know in the comments box. Please also feel free to report your best ever TK bargain… I love hearing about them.
