If you are hosting a get together with friends over the Easter break then you may be looking for some quick (and I mean SUPER quick) and easy nibble ideas to serve with drinks.

I’ve got three delicious and it’s got to be said, reasonably healthy sweet treats that also look very pretty indeed. To the right of the feature you’ll see we’ve also put together a “master” pin so you can keep these sorts of things in your pinterest accounts should you want to refer to them at a later date.

Frozen Banana Chips

The dark chocolate gives you that nice crunch against the soft banana. If you want to make them even healthier you can replace the dark chocolate with a grated raw cacao and coconut oil mixture. If you fancy making them as more of a ‘pudding’ simply slice the banana in half lengthways, smear with chocolate and sprinkle with nuts and then freeze. Serve with low fat greek yogurt or creme fraiche for a healthier banana split!

{Ingredients}

  • 1 or 2 bananas
  • Half a block of dark chocolate
  • Assorted crushed nuts

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (or in the microwave if you prefer!)
  2. Slice the banana
  3. Dip each slice and place on a sheet of greaseproof paper on a plate
  4. Sprinkle with nuts.
  5. Freeze for a few hours on the plate then transfer to a bag or pot ready to enjoy straight from the freezer!
Frozen Yogurt Drops

We made them with fat free greek yogurt but you can go for any flavour yogurt combination you want. A nice swirl of honey through the greek yogurt makes it extra tasty. Greek yogurt works well as it holds its shape when you spoon it but it you use a runnier yogurt just create one giant drop and then you can break it up in to shards. Top with any of your favourite fruit or nuts. Beware when you take them out the freezer they do melt relatively quickly so only serve when needed.

{Ingredients}

  • Greek Yogurt
  • Toppings of your choice
  • Method

    1. Place some greaseproof paper on a plate or tray.
    2. Dollop teaspoons of yogurt at intervals on to the paper.
    3. Sprinkle over the toppings of your choice.
    4. Place in the freezer for a minimum of 4 hours.
    5. Once frozen place in to little bags or tubs and keep ready for when you feel the need!
    Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

    A pretty classic combination. If you want to make them even healthier you can replace the dark chocolate with a grated raw cacao and coconut oil mixture.

    {Ingredients}

    • Punnet of strawberries
    • Half a block of dark chocolate
    • Assorted crushed nuts

    Method

    1. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (or in the microwave if you prefer!)
    2. Dip each strawberry in the chocolate and then straight in to the crushed nuts.
    3. Place on a sheet of greaseproof paper on a tray and leave to set.
