As lovely as it is to see a vase stuffed with gladioli, August’s seasonal flower gives me a pang of melancholy when I realise it means the long days are coming to an end. With the sun being very late to the party this year I’m determined to enjoy August and make the most of summer 2016.

  • I’m looking forward to catching up with my family this month too and can’t wait for my mum and dad to visit and go on some long walks with their cockapoo.
  • James and I have been invited to not one, not two, but NINE weddings this year and we’ll be celebrating with two couples during August. I’m managing to rotate three dresses for all these nuptials including this green bow detail halteneck from Warehouse (which is currently in the sale for £35).
  • We’re making progress, albeit very slow, with our snug. I was really inspired by Lisa’s palm print wallpaper and hope to get the alcoves and inside of my huge cupboard papered with something similar. If you like Lisa’s paper then you can bag yourself a roll at Cole & Son.
  • I’m looking forward to my friend’s son’s naming ceremony and can’t wait to hunt down a gorgeous gift for him. Did you see Lolly’s RMF post earlier this week on the sweetest personalised gifts? I’m in love with the custom pennant from This Paper Book.
  • We had a very productive RMLtd meeting last week at the Hotel du Vin in Birmingham. We even managed to squeeze in a ‘man do’ to celebrate Adam’s upcoming nuptials. There are lots of exciting enhancements will be rolled out over the next few months over all the blogs so we’re all looking forward to getting started this month. Watch this space.

So how’s your August sharing up? What have you got planned to round off the summer? Hopefully September will be a scorcher and we’ll be sporting shorts until October!
