This post is more about the contents of my laptop bag which are a bit more techy than my usual handbag.
Adam once joked that I should get a ‘my other laptop is a Dell’ sticker for my very boring business type bag that I used to transport my MacBook around in. I spent ages searching for a replacement because I couldn’t decide between a sleeve or something altogether more fancy.

For my birthday James surprised me with a Batchel. I say ‘surprised’ but it actually arrived a week early and I took receipt of a large box emblazoned with the Cambridge Satchel Company logo all over it. It was a bit of a giveaway. He begged me not to take a peek at the website as apparently I would guess right away which colour he had gone for. I promise I didn’t look…
The boy did very well and I am now the proud owner of a limited edition Farrow & Ball Stiffkey Blue 15” version. I very much like that it’s embossed with 156 of 200 to mark its place in the collection. I don’t think I’ve ever owned a limited edition before. Not going to lie, it’s a little tight trying to squeeze in my laptop but I know the leather will ease after a while and the colour is so darn pretty.

There’s enough room in the rest of the bag for all the essentials; leads, chargers, mouse etc. Rather than let them all get tangled in the bottom of the bag I use a pouch to store them all in. This stripy leather one was picked up in the sale from Gap and also doubles as a rather nifty clutch. They also do a tropical jungle version and it’s a whole lot of fun.

After I was once stranded on a platform at Watford Station at midnight with a dead iPhone I invested in a Juice Cube. This handy invention holds a full phone charge and saves me from running out of battery power. This would have come in very handy during said Watford Train incident as many men seemed to think it would be appropriate to have a good old chat with me while I waited for James to arrive. Very unnerving.

Speaking of phones, my cover is a Kate Spade special that was a gift from a friend. I have a soft spot for dots and stripes and this little gem was picked up at a recent sample sale for a few pounds. I’ve told her to keep an ear to the ground for the next one. There were apparently some serious bargains to be had. This replaced a serious Kate Spade rip-off that I used to have from the 99p shop.

I don’t wear glasses all the time as I just need them to sharpen up my overall vision. I spent so long looking for a new pair of specs my prescription changed! My head is rather small and kids frames just don’t cut it I’m afraid. I ended up choosing the dark havana Chanel 3221Q glasses after seeing Emma Watson sporting a pair.

I can also squeeze in a notebook and diary (both from Homesense). I also always prefer a pencil to a pen. This shiny gold one is from Blott.

How do you transport all your bits and pieces for work? Any techy bits that you have you’d like to share? If you liked this feature, you can also take a peek inside Miranda’s Mulberry too.
