It’s a (very) long time since I left school for the last time, but around this time of year without fail I start to feel a bit back-to-school-ish, even more so with the bit-of-a-chill-in-the-air autumnal-feeling mornings we’ve had this week.
No matter that I’m not actually going back to school, I can still invest in some new stationery and a lunchbox, right? And I’m going to need a new satchel, like Lauren’s to put it all in…
Temperley Ikat Organiser, £22.50, Filofax
As much as I love my tech, I do like to have an actual paper diary too and I’ve always been a Filofax fan. Appointments just feel so much more real when they’re written down. Or is that just me?! I’ve been crushing on this organiser-by-day clutch-bag-by-night by Alice Temperley for, like, ever. It’s kind of like the multitasking designer superhero of organisers. Even better it’s HALF PRICE!

Happy Jackson Set Of Six Pencils, £8, Topshop
Who’d want pencils that just say HB on them (boring!) when you can buy brightly coloured ones that says things like Happy Times, Make Today Beautiful and Smile on them instead? Exactly.

Gaucho Glam Journal, £8, Paperchase
There’s always one print at Paperchase that I fall hard for and right now it’s the Aztec-inspired Gaucho Glam print. As well as this gorgeous fabric notebook the collection includes iPhone cases, a set of two snack boxes, a diary, sticky notes and a pencil case. Want. Them. All.

Happy Jackson Yay Lunch Lunchbox, £6, ASOS
It would be impossible not to be excited about lunch with this brightly-coloured super-enthusiastic lunchbox.

Expletive Paperclips, £12.95, Kate Spade
It’s bonkers but brilliant that a brand as chic as Kate Spade would come out with a set of expletive paperclips. Now I’ve seen them no other paperclips will do.

When I was little we always went to France for summer holidays and always visited Carrerfour or E.Leclerc to stock up on back to school goodies. Stationery is a favourite purchase of mine and recently I trawled the shops looking for some smart but affordable party invitations (for a grownup’s party) with no luck. Even Paperchase couldn’t come up with the goods. So I’m printing my own and no doubt have a large battle with the printer before any success.
French stationery, how chic Victoria! How disappointing that you couldn’t find smart bu affordable party invitations. Good luck with the printer!
I’m sure I need a new pencilcase and pens and perhaps a protractor and compass too! No idea what for but sure they may come in handy during cake baking! I too am a filofax lover, much to the the hilarity of many of my friends. I like to be able to flick through and just look at everything going on. But I now feel that I need to update my trusty red version for this lovely Temperley version. Hmmm, feel a stationery splurge coming on xxx
I’m sure you’ll find a use for a new pencilcase, pens, protractor and a compass Charlotte! I love Filoxfaxes, I haven’t had one for a couple of years and nearly bought the Temperley one when it came out. Now it’s half price I’m not sure I’m going to be able to resist…
I’m obsessed with stationery and I actually am going back to school (well to an evening course once a week but I still need stationery, clearly).
I can’t stop buying Paperchase notebooks. And they have a bunny shaped stapler which is the cutest thing ever.
Of course you need new stationery for your evening course Annie (lots of luck with it btw!). Loving the sound of the bunny shaped stapler, even though I rarely have the need to staple stuff together these days.
Thanks for the good luck wishes. It’s actually a bunny hole punch, though I did see bunny staplers somewhere or other.
As you can see, functionality was not exactly a factor here..,
