Just in case you’d forgotten (I had, Lauren reminded me), the clocks go back on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Which is as good a reason as any to invest in some new nightwear to make the most of that extra hour of Sunday morning lounging. One of my friends wears pretty lace-trimmed slips in bed. If that’s your sleepwear style too, I admire your commitment to glamour, but I’m more of a PJ girl myself. Here’s five I like, a lot…
Slogan T-Shirt & Floral Pyjamas, £28, Next
I usually take a mix and match approach to nightwear, wearing pyjamas tops with shorts and pairing pyjama bottoms with t-shirts. This set from Next does the mixing and matching for you, combining a fun slogan t-shirt and a pretty pair of floral print cuffed bottoms.
You can buy them here
Cops & Robbers Long Sleeve Top, £24, & Leggings, £28, Cath Kidston At ASOS
These made me smile, and what could be better than a pair of PJs that make you happy every time you pull them on?
You can buy the top here and the leggings here
Bumblebee Pyjama Bottoms, £30, Hush
My favourite pair of pyjamas ever are star print set from Hush and so I can personally vouch for their softness and washability. You can choose from classic checks and stripes, but I like this bumblebee print, because it’s a bit different from the norm.
You can buy the top and bottoms here or the bottoms on their own here
Top & Bottoms, £27 each, Esprit At ASOS
I love the way these combine casual grey marl jersey with a pretty lace trim. You could totally get away with throwing a coat on over the top and heading to the corner shop to pick up the papers and brekkie ingredients without even having to get dressed. Not that I would ever do that of course…
You can buy the top here and you can buy the bottoms here
Check Leggings, £12-£15 & Snuggle Top, £22, Next
I haven’t bought any new sleepwear for some time, so the nightwear legging is a new one on me, but I’m a fan. I like how these leggings take the classic PJ check and turn them into something new. The snuggle top looks just the thing to keep you cosy through even the coldest months of the year.

I always mixed and matched my sleepwear too, but I recently got some leggings pyjamas in the sale and I am a complete convert! They are soooo comfy! I love those check ones from Next!
I’m totally going to give pyjama leggings a try Jane, but I can’t decide between the Cath Kidston ones, or the Next check ones…!
Oops! May have just bought some pyjama leggings from Cath Kidston (and 2 dresses….in the sale!). For the top half I like to wear these

So far I have managed to avoid a customs charge from the U.S. Eep!
xx
Now I want a Thug Life t-shirt Kate!
I now want some Thug life T-shirts too too!!!!!!! And I’m not supposed to be spending at the moment (Save, save, save….sometimes a bit dull to be honest)
My issue with PJ’s is that they get caught around my legs, I get in an uncomfortable tangle. I didn’t know “legging” PJ’s was a thing though so thanks – this might work! x
It sounds as if legging PJs have been a thing for a while Charlotte, how did we both miss this?! x
Miranda – thank you!! I always struggle with pyjamas because I like bottom and round neck tops (i.e. t-shirt tops) but all I can EVER seem to find are vest tops or v-neck tops which I dont like.
The Cath Kidston ones look ace – do you know how the sizing comes up? x
I like a round neck top too Emma. I’ve always found that Cath Kidston clothes are pretty true to size, so I would go for whatever size you are in most stores.
I so sad that I never knew about Thug Life shirts until now, yet so happy that I now know about them!!! Have stopped several that will now be on my wish list 🙂 I love a good set o’ pjs, I think I have more pjs that I do actually wearing outside clothes! Liking both the Next sets above 😀 Like Gap pj bottoms, always comfy and wash quite well…but their tops aren’t so good, tend to be a bit thin for my liking!
Also love a bit of thermal action – I have a thermal set of pjs and a thermal onesie.
I have now decided to get straight into my thermal onesie when I get home!! Will ask hubby to put it on the radiator so its warm for me getting home – can’t tell you how excited I am about this!!
Good post 😀
Ooh, I haven’t tried Gap’s PJs Annie, will have to give them a whirl. There is nothing better on a blustery day like today than getting home to a toasty house and putting on your PJs, I would be excited too!
I do love a pair of Hush pyjama bottoms! And there is 20% off sleepwear on their website this week (using the code OCTEVENT) so I shall definitely be getting myself a new pair….
And I love those thug life t-shirts Kate, I think I’ll have to get at least one of those.
Very much liking the idea of legging pyjamas too!
My Christmas list is getting longer and longer as a result of me visiting this website! 😉
Thanks for the tip off on the Hush sale Emma, will definitely be using that this week. My birthday and Christmas lists are out of control right now!
This evening I shall be sporting a blue and white striped set from Primani that make me look like a convict. Just like the lovely Next ones they have a cuff around the bottom of the legs to stop them riding up. I’m a big fan! x
Love a classic stripe! I would imagine the cuff is also good for keeping out draughts? x
I have a serious obsession with PJ’s! Must be a family trait as we are all like it. Bizarrely though we normally wait for Birthday or Christmas but I have recently realised that given the amount of time I spend in my PJ’s I really should invest in some new ones! So I bought 2 new pairs, get me splashing out, and now I seriously want the Bumblebee Hush ones too. I’ve been a big fan of nighttime leggings coupled with big shirts for a while now as they are just so comfy. Now I want to go home and put my pj’s on! x
PJs are often a birthday or Christmas gift between me and my sisters too Charlotte, but you’re right, we spend so much time in doesn’t seem like too much of an indulgence to buy a new pair more frequently than once a year. x
I love legging pjs, so comfy. this was perfect timing as I have just had to throw a pair pjs out. I will be heading to Next very soon,
Next has SO many lovely styles Claire, you’ll be spoilt for choice!
M&S Rosie for Autograph pj bottoms with cuffs are the best!
Oh dear, I shouldn’t have taken a look at the Rosie for Autograph collection Victoria, now I can’t stop thinking about those grey cuffed hem PJ bottoms with cashmere! How luxurious?!
Thuglife are getting a lot of love! Unsurprising, those Ts are addictive. They have a 15% off code at the moment which is too tempting!
I too have only just discovered that pyjama leggings are a thing, it’s SO the way forward. I’m totally a pyjama girl, even had the 1st night of my hen do in pyjamas (maybe that’s a step too far …). Anyway, just to say I have the Next checked ones, I love them, my husband thinks I look like I’m about to play golf!!! They are a tighter fit than I thought although I quite like them that way. I mix & match so have a whole range of random coloured vests to wear with them (I can’t do long sleeves in bed). Someone mentioned the M&S Rosie for Autograph collection, it’s so lovely, I have the grey floral ones http://www.marksandspencer.com/floral-pyjama-bottoms/p/p22297030, they are by far the nicest pair of pj bottoms I’ve owned and now I’ve just spotted this gorgeous cashmere wrap http://www.marksandspencer.com/luxurious-pure-cashmere-short-wrap/p/p22262575 … it looks divine.
Anyway, off to put my pj’s on, night all 😉
The rosie for autograph ones are so comfy. One of my purchases was the soft grey cuffed ones with slouchy top (not the cashmere ones as couldn’t justify those!). They are so so comfy and the softest material. Tempted by another pair….
I’m obsessed Charlotte, I thought the Rosie for Autograph was all about lingerie, I didn’t realise it included nightwear too. So many pretty pieces!
Wearing pyjamas on the first night of one’s hen do sounds perfect Grainne! Haha, I see what your husband means about the golfing style of the Next PJ bottoms, that wouldn’t stop me buying them though. The Rosie for Autograph grey floral pyjamas are so pretty. And that cashmere wrap…
