Elle, founder of Bamaluz Home, is a girl after my own heart. She’s thrifty, loves a spot of DIY, and is a big fan of using texture and greenery throughout her home. We featured the downstairs of her gorgeous abode last week and today Elle’s showing us around the upstairs.
Master Bedroom
This room was quite difficult to work with as it’s not very big and all four walls are taken up with cupboards, windows or doors. It’s still a room I want to do more to, but for now the Ikea picture shelf will have to do! Finding bedside tables small enough that we could have one either side was a struggle, but I managed to find the cutest little ones from The White Lighthouse at only £39 each.
Creative room
This is my little creative haven. It’s the smallest room in the house but I have managed to cram in everything I need for my business. All of the wicker and wire baskets are from Homesense and my desk is another eBay find, a pine farmhouse kitchen table which I sanded down and painted the legs white. If you can see the wire clip board through all my inspirational items, that is simply some green wire mesh, spray painted white.
Nursery
I’m a big believer in the gender neutral approach to nurseries, especially when you don’t know what sex you are going to have… it makes decoration so much easier! I did this mural myself just using frog tape and some tester pots of paint. The nursing chair and tallboy drawer unit are from Made.com. My dad is a traditional dad, an expert in DIY so he made the built-in wardrobe which was a must for such a small room to maximise space to hide mess in!
Hello! Thank you so much! I made all the woven and feather decor. The white one is goose feather and it’s on my website under the ‘juju hat’ listing. http://Www.bamaluzhome.com

Hi there Lucy, thanks so much for those kind words! If you need any DIY tips please ask! The cot mobile I made myself, this particular one is not listed on my website but I’m happy to create bespoke items. Here’s the website and do email me if you want me to create something for you 🙂 http://www.bamaluzhome.com

Thank you so much Becky! I do love it, which helps now that I am lucky enough to work from home too! But that mural was so easy to do and I think it’ll last years to come without being too baby’ish when our little ones gets older. Xx
The feather wall hangings are beautiful!! Especially love the white one. Would you mind sharing were these are from please? Love them!

What a beautiful home! I love the style and airy feel. I’m inspired to do a bit more DIY on some furniture for our house now.
Can I ask where the lovely cloud cot mobile is from? Thanks x
