Ripped jeans are one of those trends that, when I first saw them, I was all like, “No way, why would you pay for jeans that are already ripped, how ridiculous,” but, slowly, I got used to them (and realised I sounded like my Dad) finally deciding I really needed a pair in my life, buying these ones from Zara.
I like them so much I’m considering adding a pair of black ripped skinnies to my collection. The high street has embraced the black ripped skinny jean trend with every store selling them and every store styling them differently, proving what a versatile addition they would be to anyone’s wardrobe. Whatever your style here’s five ways to rock them.

Perfect timing!! I am in the market for some ripped black jeans. I have been eyeing up these two for a while, but the are pretty hefty on the price tag

I have the Topshop Jamie Jeans in white and they are sooo lovely and soft and wash well, maybe I just need to buy those and spend the rest of the money on cocktails!
Love both pairs you have your eye on Nicola, but I think I’d buy the Topshop ones and spend the saving on cocktails!
Great idea!!! (although there is 25% off all shopbop today…!!) #turnoffthecomputer
Ripped jeans on my Coleen Rooney-esque legs are a SERIOUS no go area. The chub would literally bust out of them.
Saying that I am a no jean girl anyway. I only own one pair of wide legged ones from Miss Selfridge like a 100 years ago.
I’m back on the jeans after a summer spent mostly in yoga pants, dresses and shorts Pamela, it’s taken me a bit of getting used to I won’t lie…
Ah I have the Topshop ones! In a sort of washed black rather than black-black.
They were in fact a mistake – they were folded so I didn’t see the ripped knees until I got into the changing room. Then once I got them on there was no going back – they are so comfy! It’s so liberating having your knees hanging out!
I try to explain this to all my friends who are still in the “why would you pay for that?” mindest but so far I’m the only one embracing the look…
Haha, it must have been quite a surprise when you discovered that your brand new jeans had holes in them Anna. I agree, ripped jeans are liberating, we should all free our knees!
I love the Rag and Bone pair Nicola!
