I spent Saturday morning working my way through a massive pile of magazines (I was in hibernation mode, ‘K?). They were all in agreement – denim is going to be HUGE come Spring and not just jeans. Hell to the no. We’re going to be wearing denim everything. Get a head start on the trend by snapping up one of these brilliant blue buys…
Shirt dress, £40, ASOS
With its dark wash, short sleeves, patch pockets and straight hem this is totally different to the denim shirt dress I already own (mid wash, bracelet length sleeves, popper fastening pockets, ever-so-slightly curved hem). So it would be perfectly fine for me to have both. Right?!

Shirt, £19.99, H&M
First of all the model shot has totally banished all memories of B*Witched from my brain and is making me feel I could actually do double denim. Second of all, how cute is the just-the-right-amount-faded shirt? Want.

Gym bag, £44, American Apparel
Considering adding a touch of denim to my workout routine with this cute bag that’s big enough to fit all my yoga essentials.

Dungarees, £48, Topshop
Sadly, for my wardrobe, not so much my bank balance, I think I’m probably too short for denim dungarees and their coming-to-a-high-street-near-you-soon SS15 update, the denim boiler suit (yes, really!). Longer-legged readers, you might want to invest. Wear with a black long sleeved knit jumper underneath now and a white vest come summer.

Maxi skirt, £34.99, Mango
I’m having a ‘Why on earth did I take that perfect denim maxi skirt I used to own to the charity shop?’ moment. I know, I know, it’s probably not as perfect as I remember. And if I did still own it I wouldn’t be able to try on this washed-out floor-scraper for fear I’d fall in love and bring it home.

Anyone already working double (or even triple) denim? Memories of B*Witched still too raw? Spotted any denim buys we need to know about? Do share!
I’m loving that maxi from Mango. Note to self – Need to pack old clothes away in the loft. So many come backs!!
Marlene I was just thinking this EXACT same thing!
Really want to do a cute denim dress…but always look as though I am wearing a sack? perhaps I need to find one that is a more fitted shape? x
Chloe did a super-cute waisted denim dress for SS15 Charlotte so there’s bound to be some high street, er, homages coming soon!
Charlotte I got one last year from Dorothy Perkins! Never shop in there normally, but I love the dress. It’s buttons all the way up/down so makes it nice and fitted, but not too tight. Maybe they will have something similar this year xx
So need to do that too Marlene!
Oh I really like denim dresses but have never found one that looks nice on me :-/
How annoying Kitty, hopefully there’ll be lots of choice when the SS15 stuff hits the high street.
Just had a ‘why on earth did I take that genuine Texan denim shirt to the charity shop all those years ago’ moment. Sad times.
That denim maxi skirt is gorgeous, there’s not much to look forward to about the end of maternity leave, but having some money to buy a few items of clothing for the new season is one good thing!
That is definitely the silver lining Natalie! Mango has a dark blue denim maxi too. Not sure sure which I love most!
