It’s Christmas Jumper Day in six sleeps. Have you all got your festive knitwear at the ready? I think it’s brilliant how the idea of the novelty Christmas jumper is getting bigger every year, and even better that money is being raised for a good cause as a result.
Last year Rich and I bought the Boohoo two person Christmas jumper. Yes, a jumper that can be worn by two people at once. It looked ace but was OH so impractical and only got five minutes’ wear. (This year’s elf version has sold out at Asos and Boohoo but I have spotted a couple on ebay, or you can still buy the single elf jumper here). Here are some slightly classier, and infinitely more practical, one person options.
1. Topshop are on FIRE when it comes to Chrimbo knitwear. This is by far the cutest of the bunch, but I also like the look of this bejewelled jumper and this 3D wreath knit.
2. The #Elfie jumper that’s in the header is a cheeky take on the retro Bella Freud 1970 knit jumper, just a damn sight cheaper.
3. The comments that followed our debate about faux or real Christmas trees did make me laugh, particularly the comments about tinsel. If you love the stuff, or just want to be ironic, then you need this in your life.
4. I’m loving the fact that pompoms are on EVERYTHING this winter. If you, like me, are pompom obsessed, then you probably need this pompom jumper (total bargain from Asda), this Zara tee and these baubles for your tree.
5. How much fun do the Asos girls look like they’re having? I’ve also discovered recently that Asos sell Whistles apparel. Uh oh.
Which Christmas jumper have you gone for this year? Are you going tacky, twee or trendy?
We’ve gone completely tacky! My friend is hosting a Christmas Jumper party so I had a personalised set made for us 😂. We’ve got red sweaters with “Christmas with the *insert family name*” Why not?!
Brilliant! Make sure you get lots of cheesy photos posing by the tree 😂
