It’s bank holiday Monday. And we’re asking you to complete a survey. I know I know, possibly not the most inspiring feature you’ll peruse online this week. But we would really REALLY appreciate it if you’d take a few minutes out of your day (promise, it’s not very long at all) to answer some questions for us. We’re even offering the opportunity to win a lovely beauty inspired prize if you do.
As many of you know we made a few changes a few months back, changing the frequency of posts, trying new types of content and monitoring the response. And yet, I’ll be honest, we’re still not sure where we go from here. Running a “lifestyle” blog is inevitably hit and miss, you’re “Jack Of All Trades” as it were, hoping that the majority of what you share will appeal to the majority of people the majority of the time. But we don’t have a niche as such, we haven’t carved out particular areas of focus that we can run with and make them really really great. I think we need to. And I know we need your help to do so.
Please be as honest as you can, constructive criticism is as necessary to our evolution as praise is. And we want to get to know you better from our survey, there is nothing more motivating than understanding exactly what inspires our readers.
As well as a few standard questions we also have free type areas – please do expand on anything you think may be useful feedback. In terms of an amazing prize we’re offering one lucky so and so three bullets of my favourite Dior lipstick, three Chanel nail polishes in wear-with-anything neutral hues and those gorgeous white laquer trays* from The White Company that we keep harping on about at every given opportunity.
The survey is open until midnight on September 16th 2015 and there are a few T&Cs for your bedtime reading.

*Unfortunately it’s just the trays and not the contents as depicted in the slider image that are up for grabs. You could display your Chanel on them though. And the Dior. Obviously.
Done! Cheered up a non-bank holiday Monday for me in Scotland! 🙂
Thanks Marianne! Urgh, how annoying that you don’t get the August bank holiday in Scotland. It’s chucking it down here in London, typical August bank holiday weather!
Done and done! But in typical fashion thought of something to add, which I feel is important- it’s getting the balance between aspirational and achievable just right, iykwim.
Thanks Lucy, we certainly do try to get a good balance between aspirational and achievable.
Done! Ha I’ve definitely been inspired to buy a few things from RMS – you guys have impeccable taste!
Thank you Fran!
Done, have bought so much because of this blog (and rock my wedding before it). Between aspirational and affordable is a great phrase (although at the moment unfortunately I’m at the more affordable end of things)…. So more of that would be great!
Thanks Fiona!
Done! I read RMS EVERYDAY! I love you guys and the content you cover! I’m not one for really leaving comments generally, but wanted you to know your doing a fab job and that nothing quite beats a coffee and a daily dose of RMS! Keep up the fantastic work! xxx PS I’ll be sure to comment more often from now on!
Aw, thank you Lindsay!
The chance to help shape what my favourite blog looks like in the future? Done 🙂 x
Thanks Clare. And for saying that we’re you’re favourite blog. So lovely to hear! x
Also done – and just to reiterate, you are doing a great job!
