As the nights are drawing in and there is a definite chill in the air, I’m on the hunt for some cosy woollies which I can snuggle up in whilst sipping hot chocolate in front of the fire. And it may be because it’s Halloween next week or it may be because the ultimate twinkly time of year – Christmas – is just around the corner, but I’m being drawn to winter warmers of the star variety…
Hush
I’m going to start with my favourite of the lot, this Etoile jumper. It doesn’t have a star motif but it DOES bear the French word for star across it (why is everything prettier in French?). I also want this Hush scarf. Yes, I know it’s seventy five quid. I still want it. It’s 100% wool! Just look how happy the model in the picture is to be wearing it.
Mint Velvet
I’m loving everything in Mint Velvet at the moment, but in particular this V neck. Or if you prefer a more boxy shape then you may want to cuddle up in this high-neck jumper.
Miss Selfridge
Judging by the Miss Selfridge and Zara websites, berets are making a comeback. Who knew? This Miss Selfridge one is ultra cute and is in the sale now. I reckon it would make the perfect stocking filler…
New Look
Our editor Lauren is one of the most stylish ladies I know. She also has a great eye for a bargain. Apparently, when she wore the jumper in the header to a recent meeting, Rock My Wedding editor Fern thought it was from Hush. But no, it’s actually from New Look. As is this ultra-versatile black-and-white star print jumper.
John Lewis
Another one for my Christmas wish list is this ‘falling star intarsia jumper’ from John Lewis in charcoal. I’ve been good this year Santa. Honest.
Asos
The easiest way to wear a star motif is on a scarf. This camel-coloured shawl with its subtle gold star detailing is so so chic. And it’s nearly half price at the moment…
Oasis
Adding a flash of colour to proceedings is this super-soft sweater from Oasis. I’m loving the contrast between the red stars and the candy striped ladder detailing down the back.
And if you are looking to sprinkle some star(dust) prettiness across your abode – it is nearly Christmas after all – then head over to Cox and Cox. I need this brass star mirror in my life. And if you’ve got a little one, Lottie is talking star print fashion and interiors over on Rock My Family today. Or if you’re after some party inspiration of the starry variety then check out the epic-ness that was Mabel’s first Birthday party.
Now just to get that ‘Starry Eyed Surprise’ song out of my head…
Stop it! I pretty much want everything in this post now! I’m breastfeeding at the moment and my uniform has become skinny jeans and oversized striped tops but now I want to swap in stars for stripes!
Ha ha! Sorry Sophie L ? x
I need Lauren’s jumper. I’m literally going to buy it right now! Awesome find…and it’s pay day.
Yay Mel! It’s so cosy and warm too x
Yey for pay day! X
Seriously great post for pay day hehe.
I want the black & white New Look jumper, the John Lewis one & the Hush etoile one….Actually the Oasis one is pretty cute too. As always you are bad for my bank account Lisa. Lovely round up xxx
Thanks lovely Lorna! X
Love that Oasis one. But it’s out of stock in all sizes! Boo.
I agree with you on the epicness of the Hush scarf Lisa. £75 is fairly spendy though. Bonus points for your valiant attempt to justify the price to yourself – “it’s 100% wool!” actually made me lol. It’s exactly like something I would say to my husband. 😉
Sorry Tracy M! Try the Oasis website:
