It’s no secret that I am obsessed with Claire’s home, a stylish and characterful Edwardian semi in Moseley, one of the greenest and most quirky and magical suburbs of Birmingham. (Can you tell I used to live in Moseley and quite like it there?!).
A couple of weeks ago we took you on a tour of her downstairs, and today we’re showing you around some of the upstairs. It’s so calming and peaceful and serene that I’d quite like to curl up in the middle of that beaut four poster bed. And because Adam took a bazillion gorgeous shots of Claire’s home, we’ll show you around the rest of the upstairs and the garden over the next couple of weeks.
Over to Claire.
Front bedroom
This bedroom is painted the same as the hallway – Homebase Putty. The bed is the Coco from Loaf.com and the light fitting is the Z1 pendant – and a bit of a splurge! It divides opinion but I love it. We had the wardrobes built in and they are painted a Little Greene colour but I have honestly forgotten which shade!
The pictures and the cushions are from Neptune. The bed linen is the Avignon from The White Company. The armchair was a gift from my work colleagues as an engagement present. The bedside tables were from BHS Home when it was still going.
Main bathroom
This bathroom was two rooms which we knocked into one. The flooring is wood effect porcelain tiles. The bath was from Victoria Plumbing and the mirror was from Maisons Du Monde. I found the bath caddy on eBay. The paint colour is Perfectly Taupe by Dulux.
Back bedroom
I obsessed over this bed for a long time before I bit the bullet and bought it! It is the Beaumont from The White Company and I love it! I had the chaise longue bespoke made by a local company Park Lane Furnishings. The side table is the Ridge Stool from Lombok Furniture. The bedside tables are the Douglas from Swoon Editions and the bedding is from Dip and Doze.
The chest of drawers were from a trade supplier through my work and the plant is a beauty from Isherwood and Co. The paint colour is Timeless by Dulux.
I have been GAGGING to see the upstairs of Claire’s home. It is absolutely gorgeous. It feels so fresh and airy. I love the bathroom floor – I’ve not seen anything like that before. I’m currently thinking about tiling my main bathroom but seeing this shows me that actually, perhaps I don’t even need to! It looks gorgeous x
Love everything about this home! I wish I could be more restrained in my decorating. This is so pared back but beautiful, I feel calmer just looking at it all. I can never stop myself adding more and more bits everywhere…and that bathroom!!! 😍
Absolutely beautiful! This is so calming and relaxing. It’s inspired me to strip back my bedroom. Do you mind if I ask where the white curtains and grey curtains are from?
Absolutely Stunning! Claire, I’ve just had similar built in cupboards done and I’m looking for handles just like yours – can I ask where these are from?
This house is absolutely beautiful! Claire, can I ask where the brass handles are from on the built in wardrobes? I am looking for something similar. Gorgeous!
Beautiful house, has given me alot of ideas for our new house we are buying which is a Victoria property. I’m also interested to know who supplied the wardrobes?
