I have wasted at least ten minutes each day this month rummaging around in my bag for my lipstick. After the zip on my make-up bag broke I have been struggling to keep control of the cosmetics rolling about the bottom of my tote. The search has been on to find a make-up pouch that can easily slip into a bag. When I started to have a look around I was surprised by how many budget pouches are available and so today I’m sharing my finds, and all of them are under fiver!

Forever 21, Polka Dot Pouch, £2.70

Forever 21 are great for accessorises and little extras. They have quite a selection of cosmetic and toiletry bags but my choice will always be anything polka dot. This is a mid size canvas pouch with a top zipper for the teeny price of £2.70 (for a limited period).

H&M, Parrot Bag, £1.99

As ever H&M are ridiculously low priced with their transparent make-up bags. Available in a cute bird design, or equally sweet ice cream version you can keep your mascara, powder and lipstick in here and still have room to add a few more essentials.

Next, Flamingo Make-up Bag, £3.50

From Next’s ever increasing beauty collection I was very happy to lay eyes on this Flamingo emblazoned pouch. I’m a big fan of the plastic bright flamingo hanging from the zip and charming polka dot lining.

Selfridges, #selfie Pouch, £5

Selfridges iconic yellow branding has been taken to the next level with this cheeky plc #selfie make-up bag.

M&S, Nautical Purse, £5

Marks and Spencer have a wide range of wash bags and the like. This slimline pouch would be great for storing brushes and mascara and would easily slip into any handbag.

I’m still not sure if I’ve found exactly what I’m looking for so if you have any suggestions for a small yet funky bag then I’d love to hear all about it.
