Last Friday I shared some amazing kitchen cupboard beauty with you all that hopefully had you reaching for the fridge rather than the spendy John Lewis counters. Who knew that a good old avocado could be just as good on your skin as it is in your tummy and a far more environmentally friendly alternative too!
Following on from the basics I’ve got a few lovely recipes for you to use (courtesy of my mum!). These are all still really simple so give them a try.
Beauty Recipes
Sea Salt Foot Soak
This is an absolutely gorgeous foot soak to revive tired tootsies and make them super soft.
1 cup epsom salt
1 cup sea salt
1 cup baking soda
15-20 drops peppermint essential oil
Facial Scrub
This scrub is so gentle on your skin but leaves it feeling all glowy.
1 tspn ground almonds
1 tspn fine oats
1 tspn olive oil/avocado oil
1 pinch salt
1/2 tspn cider vinegar
Banana Face Mask
Banana is anti bacterial which makes it great for acne and blemishes.
1 banana
1 tspn milk
Pinch of nutmeg
1 tspn oatmeal powder (optional)
Fine Hair Mask
This is ideal for reviving fine, limp hair and adding volume to your do.
1/2 cup flat beer
1 tsp sunflower oil
1 egg
Honey & Coconut Hair Repair
If you’ve been overdoing the styling or getting the blow dryer out a bit too often then this one’s for you.
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp honey
Have you been inspired to try your own beauty recipes?
Ooo, that coconut oil and honey hair mask sounds fab! Definitely giving that one a go this weekend – thanks Lottie!
Just tried the honey and coconut oil hair mask and can confirm that my hair is softer and fluffier than ever before, I’ll definitely be adding this into my beauty routine! Now off to get some Epsom Salts for my feet….
