Lolly (also known as Lauren Gautier-Ollerenshaw) is the Editor of Rock My Wedding and we like her wardrobe VERY much. More than a hint of masculinity mixed with eclectic charm, luxe leather and a bold print or two she positively exudes cool.

“I’d say that my style was classic since I favour elegant pieces of clothing with a sense of structure and tailoring. Blazers, skinny Kooples jeans and classic shirts make up a large proportion of my wardrobe.

I like to buy less but spend more on individual items that I’ll wear again and again. In any one season I’d say I’d buy no more than ten or so items including shoes. I love luxurious materials such as leather and cashmere and I’ll never say no to a fine knit or two.

I tend to wear clothes that fall into the darker shade of the spectrum preferring to add colour instead through a slick of red lipstick or a dash of print in the form of a scarf or a pair of heels. Leopard print is one of my vices regardless of whether it’s in that season or not.

I’m not really one for accessorising; I have a few staple pieces of jewellery I wear everyday and I suppose I am partial to a snood in the colder months but that’s about it. I’ve been told that I look good in hats too which is never a bad thing.

If I’m flippant anywhere then I’d say it’s with my footwear. I can never say no to an elegantly turned heel or a bit of S&M-inspired zip action. I once won a competition where I was given a year’s supply of shoes from Topshop; it was probably one of the most exciting things to happen to my teenage self. I aspire to own a delicious pair of Loubi’s in the not too distant future though…”

The Artist’s Coat

I like to call this relaxed COS number my bohemian artist’s overcoat and imagine myself hanging around with various members of the Bloomsbury set. Opting for a print in such a vibrant colour is unusual for me but I felt it was time to push my sartorial boundaries. Pairing it with a neutral fluffy jumper and indigo jeans from The Kooples allows the coat to shine without going overboard.

A 70s Vibe

This chiffon dress was purchased from Jigsaw a season or two ago along with these stupidly high orange tan and suede heels. They were an impulse buy, encouraged by my super-stylish mum. She often encourages me to try things that I wouldn’t have the nerve to try if I was shopping alone. The hat was purchased on a recent trip to Edinburgh from the Men’s department of Walker Slater.

Pattern And Print

Bored with my usual skinny jeans and heels, or pretty dress and tights combos for nights out, I searched for alternatives and landed upon these high waisted cotton trousers from COS. The print reminds me of a Pollock painting, an artist I adore, and means that only a simple top is required to finish the outfit off. For cooler Spring nights, I’ve been accessorising with my green leather Kooples jacket which was a wedding present from my husband.

Luxe Leather

I’d been toying with the idea of purchasing a leather skirt ever since they made their appearance on the catwalk last year. But being on the short side I’d always been a bit wary of the popular longer length full-skirted versions. When I spotted this pleated shorter skirt at Sandro I simply had to have it. It looks equally as effective during the day with a round neck jumper as it does dressed up in the evening with a sheer shirt and bare legs.

Boyfriends and Leopard Print

Possibly the comfiest trousers I own, these boyfriend jeans from Topshop are the perfect antidote to those dreaded ‘fat days’. Unfortunately my husband isn’t quite so enamoured with them as I am and refers to them as ‘the mum jeans’ since they remind him of his mum during the 80s. Regardless I tend to jazz them up with a pair of heels like these leopard print beauties from Hobbs and a luxurious cashmere jumper from COS.
