Do you remember those T-shirts years ago that had this emblazoned on the front multiple times? My friend naughty Maria had one and I was dead jealous. I can’t remember the brand for the life of me, and by revealing I recall them in the first place, and by using the expression “dead jealous” probably means I am in fact getting old.
I had a bit of a mini fashion meltdown when I turned 30, I felt like I should dress differently somehow, looking back I have no idea why really, I didn’t look any different from when I was in my twenties just hours before….idiot. I soon got over it, and actually, I’d say (post pregnancy issues aside) I enjoy dressing up and accessorising more than ever before. Much like Lauren’s point on decoration inspiration, I find wardrobe ideas all over the internet these days – it’s brilliant. I love Pinterest and follow quite a few brands and bloggers to create my “ultimate closet of dreams” (!) but day to day I thoroughly enjoy having a butchers at some of the folk on instagram and their daily outfit updates. I find it accessible and for the most part, attainable. There are as many high street finds as there is designer garb to blatantly copy for yourselves – depending on who you choose to follow of course.
Here are a few of my current favourites, I would love it if you could share yours too!
Alice and Hannah are London based fashion designers at www.belleandbunty.co.uk who create ready-to-wear as well as stylish bridal collections. They describe themselves as “Flirtatiously British!” and put together the most amazing combinations of pretty things.
We are super lucky to have them doing a bit of a Rock My Style instagram takeover from today in homage to London Fashion Week, expect to be tempted by LOTS of gorgeous items that you absolutely NEED.
Kelly Eastwood writes www.thelondonchatter.com and does fabulous things with block colour and skirts. I have never been able to do either but am now very tempted to give it a whirl.
Colline, she’s French.
DO I need to say anything else? absolutely beautiful images and a masculine yet super chic vibe. You can also find her at www.etpourquuoipascoline.fr
Jessie writes at seamsforadesire.com
She put casual summer pieces together so well. Plus her hair is amaze. I’m interested to see what she’s got in store for Autumn.
Mwah ha ha ha! This account makes me laugh, lots. And that’s what fashion should be – huge amounts of fun.
Please let me know in the comments section below if you are partial to posting a #ootd of yourself and we can follow you too (I need more clothes. And shoes.)
I’m doing the whole capsule wardrobe thing so I tend to post one most days. I have to say, doing it has been so fun. I never have that ‘I have nothing to wear’ thing anymore, maybe its because my choices are limited or because I know that I love everything I’ve picked and they pretty much all go together in some way. I’m deltafoxtrotcharlie on IG, or I tag with #capsulewardrobe
Super Claire! I’m trying to do that for my trip to France next week, a kind of “mix and match” situation x
Charlotte I think you are talking about the Toby Mott t-shirts – he also did mugs as I have a couple!
That was it Victoria! Toby Mott!!! I think I had one that said “I fancy you” or something?!
Caroline is Queen of the Capsule Wardrobe: http://www.un-fancy.com
I actually LOVE her. Thanks for the recommendation Lynsey. x
Neon heels, lots of grey and a messy bardot plait has you written all over it Mrs O!
I am actually obsessing over this girl lately too. I’ve also tried the whole 37 piece capsule wardrobe thing for our australian winter. It was awesome!! Now currently planning my spring wardrobe.
