Today I’m sharing another very easy DIY tutorial for you. I had lots of terracotta plants hanging around waiting to be filled and thought they needed a little bit of customisation. Enter the trusty chalkboard paint once again…

    Tutorial

    1. Create a template of the border you’d like to add to your pot. I downloaded a free design via Pinterest and printed in out in various sizes
    2. Place the template on the pot and draw around the outline with a pencil
    3. Take a paint brush and chalkboard paint and fill in the outline
    4. Leave to dry
    5. Pop you favourite herbs in the pot and take a piece of chalk to remind you of the variety

I was after a plain black pot the other day for another project. After I saw how pricey they can be I’m thinking of covering an entire pot in chalkboard paint as an inexpensive alternative. Painting a chalkboard stripe would also look effective too. Let me know if you give it a whirl.
