My wardrobe could be described as “classic” in that there is a vast array of navy, black and yes you guessed it grey. Easy mix and match pieces that I don’t have to give too much thought to in terms of what goes with what. Of late however I’ve been tempted to describe it as well, a little drab if I’m honest.

A splash of marl does absolutely zero for my pale central-heating-chapped epidermis. And with that in mind, I’ve been treating myself to a few colour pop knitwear pieces to brighten things up a bit.

The Bargain – Cardigan H&M £9.99

As I’m writing this I can’t see the bubblegum pink that I’m wearing in the header image above or the minty green that I purchased in store online, however this coral is lovely – paired with jeans as per the model or with a floaty maxi dress come summer. Anyway, for less than a tenner you can afford to have ALL the colours right?

My Favourite – Jumper Boden £49.50

I used to own a sherbet lemon hued jumper about 10 years ago which I LOVED. It was cheap and cheerful and essentially just ended up resembling a dishrag after several washes so had to be binned unfortunately. THIS “easy lightweight” number is lush. And it’s not too short – it finishes low on the hip. I am such a fan I’m also considering the Rose Quartz (also, I know they have a little bit of grey on but surely that’s not classed as cheating right?)

The Sexy One – Jumper ASOS £30.00

I love a bit of a shoulder flash me. And I know this isn’t exactly erm…the brightest shade on the block (ok ok so I am cheating a bit already) but I don’t currently own anything cream and I do love the detailing on this cable stitch design from ASOS.

The Longline – Cardigan Vila £22

This longline cardigan is light and a bit swishy AND the prettiest shade of blue. I can also wear it with all of the monochrome items that are taking over the inside of my closet right now.

The Ladylike One – Jumper Warehouse £40

The lace collar makes this dusky pink jumper perfection for me. I’ve recently bought my favourite Free People pleather skirt in the shade ahem “Smoke Grey” and this is the ideal accompaniment.

The Cocoon – ASOS £32

This is the first time I’ve owned this “Cocoon” shape of cardigan and I like it. A LOT. You can literally throw it on top of pretty much everything when it’s chilly. For that reason I have the Khaki Green although the dusky pink version is very pretty indeed.

Also, with this months copy of ELLE magazine you can have yourself a 20% discount card at ASOS so you may even be able to justify both shades?

The Reversible One – HUSH £69.50

Ha! See what I did there? Yes, you can turn this coral fineknit complete with palm tree motif into a “safe” pale grey should the mood take you.
