Theresa’s global inspired home is an absolute treasure trove, bursting with charm and character. I love all of the quirky little details and the way she has seamlessly blended vintage finds with high street pieces. We featured the downstairs of her four bed Edwardian terrace last week, and today you can take a little peek inside the upstairs rooms, garden and summerhouse.
Master Bedroom
This was painted using Dulux Chalk Blush (the same paint as in the snug). I wanted to create a calm, peaceful room to relax in, with natural textures and lots of greenery. The white sleigh bed and leather butterfly chair are from Ebay. The wooden chests, drawers, dimple mirrors and Buddha panel are all vintage. The wicker lampshade is from Graham and Green, as is the patchwork cowhide rug. The fitted wardrobes I had made by my carpenter as soon as I moved into the property. I had them built in a vintage panelled style to make sure they looked as in-keeping with the Edwardian property as possible.
Arlo’s Bedroom
The cabin bed is from Neo and Nani, the Eames style chair is from ebay, and the wardrobe is vintage. We bought the storage cubes and rug from Ikea.
Loft Bedroom
We painted the feature wall in Dulux Night Jewels 2, and the other walls in Dulux Night Jewels 5. The bed is from a store that doesn’t exist anymore! But I believe you can get the same bed from Feather and Black. The brass hand chair is from Rockett St George, the wooden wall art is by Judy Ta Deco, and the rugs are from La Redoute and Anthropologie. The wicker shade and desk are from Ikea and the standing lamp is vintage Habitat. The string shade on the gold bedside Iconic lamp was made by me.
Bathroom
The perfect space for my ever expanding collection of houseplants (last count 72)! The paint we used in here is Dulux Brilliant White, the tiles by Tons of Tiles, and the sink and toilet are from Victoria Plumb. The wooden chests and wooden stool are vintage, and the hamman towels are from Hamman and Home.
Anais’ Bedroom
The cot is from Mamas and Papas, the rug from La Redoute, and the chest of drawers and rocking chair are both vintage. We created a blackboard wall using chalkboard paint. The cushions, bunting and quilts in both children’s bedrooms were all made by me.
Garden
This was completely overgrown with five foot high weeds when I moved in, and has been a continuous project by both my husband and I. We cut back as many trees as we could to get more light into the garden so we could build raised beds for vegetables. We also built the summerhouse and deck (the deck was built from reclaimed scaffold boards, and the shed was from Wayfair and painted in Cuprinol French Grey). The bench in the summerhouse was built from wood from our old garden plant beds, the cushions I made myself, and the tables in the summerhouse are both vintage. The metal round table is from Ikea, the leather pouffe is from Andalucia, and other chairs are vintage. The lawn was laid as soon as I moved in for my son to play on, and the next big project is to completely re-do the patio area by the house next year to include new seating which we plan to build from old scaffold boards (we love scaffold boards!).
Is anyone else a dab hand with a sewing machine/scaffold boards? What’s your favourite part of the home tour?
The thing I love about this is if you strip it back to its bare bones its essentially a white blank canvas – everything about this is personal style rather than a shade of paint because its “Instagram worthy” or some other such pile of BS. Its also not expensive if you wanted to add something similar to your own house.
The only problem with this is that I have no such personal style. Or ability to find things on ebay.
Thank you! I love your comment, you have summed up my decorating style perfectly. I’m not one for fancy paint colours, I like a blank canvas of white and greys and all the interest is added with the vast collection of stuff I’ve collected over the last 25 years! Successful eBay shopping is just a matter of perseverance and looking regularly too! 😀
I love your home and your style is truly divine! We’re about to embark on a project house and you are an inspiration! What colour paint did you use in Anais and Arlo’s room? I love the natural look to it.
I’m so late to this party, but the shade in your bedroom and snug is the exact colour I’m looking for for my guest room! Is it Chalk Blush 1? It looks so different on the Dulux website, much darker?
Love your home, we’ve just finished a loft conversation and unfortunately the pitch on the bathroom en-suite is so low that the toilet can’t go there now. We are having an open plan wet room with a freestanding bath in the bedroom. Your bathroom (with all the plants) looks like a similar pitch. I’m find it hard to envisage how it’s now going to look. Do you know how wide your bathroom is? Yours doesn’t look too cramped at all. I’ve been searchIng Pinterest to Try and find a picture of a small bathroom in the loft with a pitch like our so I can get an idea of how it will look, what size sink & toilet I should get. Many thanks xx
Your house looks really amazing, especially the bathroom! i was wondering what the floor is and where you got it from? is it linoleum? i need this too!!! 🙂
I love this house and I want to recreate the bathroom in my house. I wonder whether the very narrow shower glass means the whole floor just gets flooded all the time?
What an incredible house 😍

So absolutely gorgeous! All of it.
