Just in case you’d forgotten (I had, Lauren reminded me), the clocks go back on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Which is as good a reason as any to invest in some new nightwear to make the most of that extra hour of Sunday morning lounging. One of my friends wears pretty lace-trimmed slips in bed. If that’s your sleepwear style too, I admire your commitment to glamour, but I’m more of a PJ girl myself. Here’s five I like, a lot…

Slogan T-Shirt & Floral Pyjamas, £28, Next

I usually take a mix and match approach to nightwear, wearing pyjamas tops with shorts and pairing pyjama bottoms with t-shirts. This set from Next does the mixing and matching for you, combining a fun slogan t-shirt and a pretty pair of floral print cuffed bottoms.

Cops & Robbers Long Sleeve Top, £24, & Leggings, £28, Cath Kidston At ASOS

These made me smile, and what could be better than a pair of PJs that make you happy every time you pull them on?

Bumblebee Pyjama Bottoms, £30, Hush

My favourite pair of pyjamas ever are star print set from Hush and so I can personally vouch for their softness and washability. You can choose from classic checks and stripes, but I like this bumblebee print, because it’s a bit different from the norm.

Top & Bottoms, £27 each, Esprit At ASOS

I love the way these combine casual grey marl jersey with a pretty lace trim. You could totally get away with throwing a coat on over the top and heading to the corner shop to pick up the papers and brekkie ingredients without even having to get dressed. Not that I would ever do that of course…

Check Leggings, £12-£15 & Snuggle Top, £22, Next

I haven’t bought any new sleepwear for some time, so the nightwear legging is a new one on me, but I’m a fan. I like how these leggings take the classic PJ check and turn them into something new. The snuggle top looks just the thing to keep you cosy through even the coldest months of the year.
