Rain is forecast yet again. I didn’t even get as far as unpacking my summer clothes and I have to confess I wore a jumper on Wednesday. Though I’m not rocking any of my cami vests or denim cut-offs, I have been eyeing up a few jewels and other accessories to get me in the spirit of the summer.

Towel

Last year several instagram accounts I follow featured beautiful circular towels, so much more exciting your regular rectangle! You, Me and The Dream were kind enough to send me one of their plush Drifter towels so now I have my own round towel. As the weather wasn’t warm enough for a beach dip in Cornwall I’ve been using as a mat to sit on in the garden and I know I’ll use it a lot over the summer.

Sunglasses

If you buy these gorgeous sunnies from Oliver Bonas then don’t tell Lisa. She unfortunately lost her matt tortoiseshell cut out sunglasses on their first outing. I hate it when that happens. So chic I think she should make a second purchase.

Oysho Bag and Necklace

Naughty Reader Sarah introduced us to Oysho recently and if you haven’t discovered them yet you need to take a gander. This bucket style clutch would go with absolutely everything and the crochet flap is well on trend too. Remember Lisa’s recent pom-pom post? Well Oysho’s pom pom and fringe necklaces would fit right in.

Beaded Choker

With all these nineties trends firmly in fashion, the choker is back. I still remember my first velvet choker which made it exceptionally difficult to eat anything other than ice cream. Thankfully Topshop have gone for a bit of an update with a pretty coral beaded version instead for £12.

Beaded Bracelets

Still on the bead and coin band wagon, the Pieces Olla set of two bracelets from Asos are a subtle way to embrace the trend.

Stacked Bangles

If bangles and cuffs are more your thing then head to Forever 21. Have you ever been to their jewellery department? I’m like a magpie in there. These lightweight threaded bangles add an ethereal vibe to any outfit and I’m liking the colour combo too.

The Jacksons Bag

I’ve had my eye on the Jacksons bonjour jute bag forever. Sadly the blue one I favour seems to be out of stock everywhere but the pink one is a super fun to brighten up your summer.

Hair Pieces

I’m always envious of those who have the length to wear trinkets in their hair. How super duper pretty is this Olivia The Wolf wax seeds hair comb? It would be so beautiful for a wedding guest to sport. Better get my hair growing in time to attend the eight weddings we’re invited to this year…

Stackable Rings

& Other Stories have the most adorable collection of rings this season. Now the nail one I’m not so keen on but the rest of the range is very covetable. I particularly like the pearl open ring and the triangual ring featuring a very trendy marble geo stone. A lot of their finger jewellery is around the £12 mark which makes an ideal small gift price.

Simple Earrings

So hoops are also back with a vengeance. I’ve been trawling around for smaller ones as the ones I’ve seen so far seem to be rather large. I would adore the Alex Monroe leaf hoop earrings but my budget doesn’t stretch quite so far so maybe I’ll embrace the trend with these £10 Asos’ rose gold angular hoops instead.

Straw Hat

After my straw hat blew off while we sailed around Corfu last year I had to replace it with a newbie. I went to H&M and bagged myself their braided paper straw hat with a thick grosgrain ribbon for £9.99. Let’s hope the sun makes an reappearance soon so I get a chance to wear it.

Any jewellery and accessories you’ve been treating yourself to recently? What are you wearing round your neck and on your fingers at the moment?
