It may surprise you to learn that we were actually approached by our first publisher in the Summer of 2011. I could tell you the whole story but it’s actually not that important – it simply wasn’t the right time for us and it absolutely wasn’t the right publisher.

What we did learn from the experience is that if we were to create a Rock My Wedding book then it had to be completely 100% representative of the brand and our ethos. A book that was full of ideas and inspiration, would offer a wealth of helpful hints and tips in terms of planning but ultimately, would ensure the reader had the confidence to create the day they truly desired.

We were approached by Bell Lomax Moreton last year, an agency that represent folks such as Ronnie Wood, Michael Dobbs (House Of Cards) and Girls Aloud (!) to name but a few. Yet it wasn’t their impressive client list that made us decide they were the right agent for us, it was their knowledge of what our brand stood for and their unwavering belief in the fact we were capable of creating a publication that we could be proud of, and that would fill what they and we felt, was a huge gap in the market.

And if a well respected and experienced outsider believed in us, then we had no choice but to believe in ourselves. Ahem. No pressure at all.

If we could have picked any publisher in the world to produce the Rock My Wedding book then it would have been Ebury. They are part of the Penguin Random House group and produce some of our favourite ever books including Hemsley & Hemsley and How to be Parisian. In terms of quality and design they are always always on pointe and having met with them, we knew we could work with the team to create the book of our wildest wedding dreams.

This month we officially signed a book deal with Ebury Publishing and we couldn’t be prouder. Neither could we be more grateful or more humbled by your continual support of our ever growing online presence and now our first venture into print…..of the coffee table kind of course.

It’s going to be a rollercoaster ride of shoots, editing and unique content creation until our publication date of Spring 2017. And we hope to bring you more than a snippet of behind the scenes action via our various social media platforms should you be interested. Our social media following now exceeds well over a million and even though that’s crazy bananas it certainly doesn’t make us complacent, we work even harder to continually provide engaging content to such a vast and stylish audience.

Taking time to create our book doesn’t mean we’ll be taking our foot off the pedal blog wise either, it just means we’ll have to work smarter. And that’s a positive for any business.

Have a wonderful rest of the week you lovely lot you, we’ll be celebrating with gin, cake and dancing and we would love you to virtually join us. Yes, even if you are reading this at 8.30am – because as we always say, it’s your day your way, even if it’s not quite breakfast time on a Wednesday.

Besides, it’s never too early for cake.

Or gin.
