Growing up I was obsessed with all things American. I wanted nothing more than to go to an American college and be in a sorority. Consequently I’ve always been a massive fan of Tommy Hilfiger and so when they asked if we would pick five of our favourite pieces from the new Spring/Summer collection I couldn’t wait to get started.

I’ve chosen five pieces that would fit seamlessly into my wardrobe and work for the office or a bit of a do (the dress and blouse), weekends (the blouse, the t-shirt and the sweater) and, well, whenever (the scarf).

Beatrice T-shirt

Stripe t-shirts are totally classic, an effortless wardrobe staple. Everyone should have at least one, probably more (I’m thinking one long sleeved and one short sleeved). The slouchy fit of this one drew me in and then I noticed that it had a green stripe, making it a bit different from the norm in a really good way.

Marta Dress

This is one of those dresses that you could pull out for many an occasion over the summer. With its high neck, short sleeves and flared skirt it’s a great shape and would look cute with a white blazer or cardi for off-to-Wimbledon vibes or casual with a faded denim jacket on top.

Usulu Sweater

I’m not going to tally up how many grey jumpers are in my wardrobe but it’s a not-insignificant number. When I spot a good one, I’m pretty much powerless to resist. This falls firmly into that camp, with its lightweight knit, relaxed fit, soft v-neck and sleeves that look just as good pushed up as down. *Hides credit card until pay day…

Gradient Scarf

I only recently embraced the lightweight Spring/Summer scarf thing but now I’m fully onboard. This ombre one in black, white and various shades of blue caught my eye and would look all kinds of awesome with all the denim that’s going to make its way into our wardrobes this season (you can’t resist, it’s happening).

Selima Blouse

We’re big fans of the blouse at Rock My Style, they’re great for office wear but work equally well thrown on over jeans to elevate your weekend look. With its slouchy-but-feminine shape and unexpected back button detail this one is on my wish list. The front-tuck is a cute styling trick to steal.

Can I also point out how fun the wedding in the first image looks? Wish I was there. Highly recommend having a look at the Tommy Hilfiger site. As well as the main line, which my smarter side loves, my more casual side has fallen hard for all the denim and I have to tell you about People’s Place Originals, a capsule collection of highly covetable rock and roll t-shirt. Want. Them. All.
