Here at Rock My Towers today we are thinking pink. Over on Rock My Wedding Lolly is talking how to wow on your big day using beautiful blush tones. On Rock My Family Lottie has hunted down all the pastel pink pieces you need for your little one’s nursery. Meanwhile I have been scouring the web and the high street for all the pink pretty for the rest of your home.

Rose Quartz was named one of Pantone’s Colours of 2016 and it is clear from my Pinterest and Instagram feed that it’s still going strong. It is such a versatile shade – a pop of pink will add warmth and vibrancy to a grey/white/neutrals scheme, and blush looks so sophisticated when teamed with copper. Or gold. Or any metallics for that matter.

Painting With Pink

Back in February our resident paint expert Lauren wrote a guide to picking a blush pink paint. If you’re thinking of using pink on your walls then you need look no further. Or if, like me, you love a pattern, then check out the wallpapers in the slider above. I’ve used the pink flamingo print in my cloakroom and I also like the look of the turquoise Sanderson flamingo wallpaper, and the sprinkling of gold stars on the pinkish-grey Cole & Son stars wallpaper.

Blush Furniture

A statement chair is a super easy way of adding some colour and glamour to the plainest of rooms. This vintage number from Maisons Du Monde is a snip at just shy of £80 and I love the elegance of the Blay chair from Swoon in willow and pale rose. And who didn’t love the beauty of a Chesterfield that Lolly featured in her hunt for the perfect sofa?

Sumptuous Soft Furnishings

The bed linen in the header is from Urban Outfitters…and even better, it’s in the sale at the moment. Or stack up some blush cushions on crisp white pillows, like this one from John Lewis and this dusky pink Cox and Cox number.

Pretty Pink Accessories

I went a bit overboard when researching pink accessories. There are just too many! My favourites are the ‘I’ll hide and you seek’ and ‘Je ne regrette rien’ prints from notonthehighstreet.com. Over on RMF last week Lolly mentioned her hunt for a vintage globe…I’ve fallen head over heels for this pink one from M&S which also comes in antique brass. Very stylish. If it’s lights you’re looking for then this Oliver Bonas table lamp with its marble base and contrasting copper is something special, or to save some pennies this desk lamp from Maisons Du Monde is a mere £19.99. And another sale bargain is this cute storage jar from Oliver Bonas.

This post has even inspired me to pull my socks up and give my upstairs bathroom a bit of a pink makeover. I’m going to use the leftovers from the aforementioned flamingo wallpaper on one wall, invest in a new blush bathmat and possibly these towels. However I can’t decide which ceramic accessories to go for. These blush ones from Cox and Cox or these unusual ombre pieces from Zara? Decisions, decisions!

So that’s my round up of my favourite blush buys. Are there any others that I need to know about? Are you a fan of pink in the home? Which rooms and which colours have you teamed it with?
