I know what you’re thinking: didn’t they go on about lipsticks just last week?! Yes, yes we did. But here’s the thing, the Charlotte Tilbury “Hot Lips” collection is EXQUISITE. You should have heard the exclamations of “oooh!” and “Wow” as I pulled the satisfyingly clicky rose gold cases out of their packaging during a recent meeting to show the team.

Seriously pretty.

The 12 Hot Lips lipstick shades are inspired by some of the world’s most mesmerising women, from Salma Hayek to Helena Bonham-Carter. The finish is a smooth cream which doesn’t slide or smear and has exceptionally excellent pigmentation. For me the fact it seems to fade evenly is a big win, I find that even though it’s not meant to be “long lasting” as such, it does wear for a good couple of hours – even after a cappuccino and a danish.

My favourites which are featured in the slider above are “Liv It Up” – after Liv Tyler, described as a “velvet rosebud”, Kim K.W. – after Kim Kardashian-West, described as a “vintage-inspired pale pink nude” (both best sellers) and “Kidman’s Kiss” – after Nicole Kidman, described as a “just-kissed rose petal pink”.

Yes. Turns out I really like…. pink.

The actual bullet itself is sculpted like nothing else I’ve seen before. Truly. It’s almost a shame to use it. And if all of the above hero worship hasn’t sold it to you then what if I was to tell you that with every Hot Lips lipstick sold, £1 is donated to the incredible charity Women for Women International? You will be buying something lovely for yourself and giving back.

“Lipstick is powerful. It has the ability to completely change your state of mind: It can boost your confidence, pick you up when you’re feeling down, re-energise you, add instant glamour to any outfit and immediately enhance your beauty – there’s happiness in every tube! With Hot Lips I want to celebrate the mood-enhancing power of lipstick by creating a shade that captures the personality of each of the 16 incredible women that I admire, and in so doing raise awareness for an amazing charity, Women For Women.” Charlotte Tilbury.

Have you already bought yourself a Tilbury lipstick? Tempted? In other news, Lottie and I were sat on the same table as Charlotte Tilbury for the De Beers “Moments in Light” dinner in association with Women For Women last year. True Story.

In even further news, for something less frivolous and potentially more amusing, I’m over on Rock My Family today sharing Mabel’s latest vocabulary.
