I have been on the hunt for a few nice table lamps for a while. Mainly for my lounge. But how blimmin expensive are most of them? Or is that just me and my expensive tastes?!

So in my quest to make some purchases I thought I would share my favourite table lamps for under £50. You are most welcome.

Metallic & Marble

I have long admired this twisted copper table lamp from John Lewis. It looks so stylish. I will admit I’m not overly keen on the black lampshade but I figure you could pick up a cheaper shade and still keep to the £50 budget.

This beautiful trio of lights from Next are just amazing. Ultra modern blocks that can be paired with filament bulbs for an industrial look. With two brass and one marble base they would look great grouped together on a shelf or side table of your lounge.

Add a bit of Eastern Glamour in to your room with this gorgeous palm lamp from Lombok. You may need to grab a cheap lampshade as the £45 price tag is just for the base but I thought I would sneak it in!

Task Lamps

I do love a good task lamp. In fact I probably could have filled the whole post with these. There are some utterly gorgeous ones around and they are no longer the domain of the home office. They look great as a bedside table lamp, as our lovely Lauren has demonstrated with her own choice. Check out her Instagram for her utterly beautiful chalky pink purchases. And would you guess where they are from. Tesco. Yep, a complete bargain to boot and no one would ever know they weren’t a stylish designer number.

B&Q also have a fabulous range of desk lamps in a fantastic array of colours. From turquoise to yellow or even more subtle white and grey. And a bargain price too.

A copper task lamp. Yes please. This is an utterly stylish and modern take on the traditional style from Rocket St George.

This bright version from Made.com comes in a range of super fun colours with wooden accents. I love the simple modern design and it is only £29 meaning I can have a few different colours, right?

A gorgeous wooden desk lamp for £19.99 you say? This one from Dunelm is so stylish it would look perfect gracing any table.

Wooden

In my own bedroom I have these Bamboo table lamps from Habitat. I love the natural bamboo with the hit of lacquered colour. We have neon pink but the deep green would fit perfectly with an on trend botanical interiors scheme.

I love the base on this wooden table lamp from Maison Du Monde. It has a beautiful style and the herringbone lampshade is just gorgeous.

There is something rather lovely about a classic wooden lamp base and this one from Habitat is in a gorgeous Ash. It has a mid century style with its tapered base and would look equally great with a plain white shade or a more fun patterned number.

Glass

I have had this John Lewis glass table lamp in my online basket for quite some time and really should make a purchase soon. I’m thinking it would be really nice on my alcove cupboard in the lounge. It has a double layered effect with a smokey grey and amber coloured glass and a dark twisted flex which I really like.

Rocket St George are normally on the pricey side but I spotted this lovely bell jar light for one whole pound under the £50 budget.

Ceramic & Concrete

This ceramic lamp is a dead ringer for a more expensive White Company version but is only a smidgen over £20 from the Range. With a little shaped base and soft textured shade it would fit perfectly with most schemes.

A £10 price tag make this pink beauty an absolute steal. Super simple in styling it would be ideal in a bedroom or in a gorgeous grey or watercolour styled room.

The utterly fabulous concrete base on this Made.com lamp makes it very on trend indeed. Industrial but still super stylish I like this very much.

Sunshine yellow is sure to brighten up your day so I’m a bit of a fan of this lovely light from Maison Du Monde.

Fun

If you lust after the iconic Abigail Ahern animal lamps but not the price tag Next often have some good options. This bulldog lamp from Next is quite fun and would be great in a snug or cosy sitting room or this owl from Homebase is equally cute if a woodland vibe is more your style.

Bang on the £50 mark is this fun star shaped marquee light from BHS. With an abundance of glittering lights it will add a touch of retro fun to your room.

I’m currently adding some more hits of yellow to my lounge in a bit to brighten it up for summer. This bright version from Made.com would add the hit of colour that I need and matches in with my current pieces.

I hope that has given you a bit of inspiration in the lighting department and if anyone has spotted anything fabulous recently please do share. You know we love a good excuse to shop.
