There’s something about the lighter mornings and brighter evenings that brings out the desire in me to declutter and freshen up the house. Granted I have a whole house refurb project to contend with at present (more on this later this month) but as it’s still very much in a state of bricks and mortar it’s not really scratching my itch for some instant gratification pretty.

I’ve always had a weak spot for fresh and new bedding and seeing as it adds such an instant impact to a room I’ve been hunting down my favourite sets of bedding for Spring 2015. What you see below are the fruits of my labours. I will be held in no way accountable for any card bashing that may ensue…

The White Company

I’d say about 80% of my current bedlinen collection is from The White Company. I think it washes well and is of high quality and when I think about cost per use, it’s actually pretty reasonable despite the sometimes eye-watering price tag. I should also note that I never pay full-price but wait until there’s a sale or at least a 20% off event.

My favourite set of bedlinen from their current offering has to be the Avignon collection which I currently have in white but now which I obviously need with the grey pompoms. It’s fun, it’s girly but better still the boy doesn’t think he’s stepped into a French courtesan’s boudoir so it’s a win win. I’m waiting until payday to invest…

My other favourite has got to be the Harrison collection which is the perfect mix between classic elegance and modern living plus it’s perfect for these chillier nights we’re experiencing at the monument. Made from pure brushed cotton in a Herringbone weave it apparently feels warm to the touch whilst looking chic and sophisticated. I particularly love its cool grey hue too.

Jigsaw

I had no idea that Jigsaw sold homeware much less bedding so I was pleasantly surprised to come across this striped smokey toned beauty when debating whether to invest in another pair of Cara boots for Spring. The extra thick stripe is right up my street as is the exposed pearlescent buttons on both the pillows and the bottom of the duvet cover. Starting from £22, it’s not the cheapest in the store but it is oh so decadent. Imagine tumbling between the sheets when you’ve got this set on your bed…yes please!

John Lewis

Anchors away indeed with this coastal themed beauty of a set from John Lewis. I have to take this moment to apologise for the rather excessive appearance of the brand in this post but I’ve been really impressed with their offering this year and this blue anchor motif is no exception. Perfect for any coastside residence or in fact any family that loves the sea, you can almost imagine that you can hear the waves. The addition of the blue piping around the edge is a gorgeous detail.

I can almost imagine myself in the countryside of France with a crunchy baguette and lashings of cheese and wine with this oh so pretty embroidered range that starts from £12. Cool enough for warmer nights with a decadent thread count of 300 threads per square inch it looks just as good dressed up with a chunky knitted bedspread for when you need an extra layer or two.

Similar to the Jigsaw design with the exception of the stripes running horizontally rather than vertically, the Kensington bedding comes in two colours; grey & white and blue & white. I have to say that the grey looks more beige to my eyes but it’s still a gorgeous design nonetheless.

I’ve been searching for a ’boutique hotel’ inspired set of bedlinen for a while now and it was if all my prayers had been answered when I spotted JL’s Baby Seersucker bedding in grey complete with black border. It’s chic and unfussy and I know Ste will like it too. The only downside is that the colour I want (grey) won’t really work with the brown fabric headboard that sits at the top of our bed so I’ll just have to bookmark it for now until we move into the house when it’s all finished..and I persuade him that we need a new bed. For those of you not so enamoured with grey it comes in natural, blue and amethyst too but for some reason without an additional border.

I couldn’t resist chucking in these Beauty & Beast pillowcases at the end here; obviously I’ll leave it to you to decide who will sleep on which side 😉

Cox & Cox

Come to me now you velvety blush beauty. Ok so technically this perfectly pink quilt isn’t bedlinen and granted such an option would be better suited for Winter but I couldn’t not include it in today’s roundup. Apparently it is super soft and made from 100% cotton and arrives in a high quality fabric-backed zip bag. Imagine snuggling down with a book and cookies and milk with this over you set off naturally by perfectly grey walls. I’d also pair it with this as well.

The Future Kept

I’m a huge fan of the goodies on offer at The Future Kept and have indulged on several occasions for both myself, my mum and also Ste to boot. One of my favourite pieces from their collection though has to be these Welsh blankets which I own in a delicious herringbone weave and which has been sneakily appropriated by the cat.

They also make the perfect layering tool for chillier nights thrown over the duvet as well as adding that extra bit of pizazz. Choose from a number of shades including forest green through to zesty yellow. The quality is so amazing I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Marks & Spencer

If you follow our Instagram account then you’ll have spotted these peachy beauties that are coming in and going out of stock so quickly that it’s making us go dizzy. That said, M&S has got serious interiors GAME going on at the moment and we’re liking it very much indeed.

Top of our bedding picks from this High Street giant has got to be the ‘Betsy‘ which is floral but still retains a masculine vibe and would look awesome with the forest green blanket I mentioned above from The Future Kept.

If you’re a neutrals girl who prefers crisp white sheets then I’ve got just the thing for you. I love the ‘Trapunto’ bedspread paired with this set of seersucker bedlinen. The pattern on the duvet is made up of wide stripes and I love the way it contrasts with the textured floral pattern of the quilt. White doesn’t have to be boring you know…

Ted Baker

I would never have thought to have looked at Ted Baker but spurred on by the ‘Betsy’ from M&S, I just had to take a look around to see what other bold florals were on offer. Step in Ted Baker and Pure Peony which is unashamedly romantic and reminiscent of a decadent oil painting. I’m not sure that Ste would let me get away with such a statement but the set would be perfect for a teenage girl or even for those nights when the hubby is working away. Now where did I put my credit card….

Lastly if you’re looking for any kids bedlinen then we’ve answered all your prayers over on our sister blog Rock My Family with a post dedicated to it this morning. See you over there! Are any of you folks bedlinen addicts? Are you fanatical about matching sets or ironed sheets. What type of bedding is your favourite? We’d love to hear all about it….
