As it’s the first day of September I’ve allowed myself to think about fall fashion. Last week’s heatwave has left me satisfied and although I’m not yet declaring Autumn, I do feel I can buy myself a new jumper or two. As my wardrobe consists of grey and black I asked the team to hit me up with a few of their wish list purchases so I can light up your Friday with a closet of colour and all for under 40 quid too.
Lisa will be wearing this gorgeous green jumper from Topshop. We’ve discussed at length how it may get a bit hot under the collar and how that neck detail may be a crumb collector but who cares? She’s going to rock this jumper.
As far as I’m concerned every lady needs a leather (or leatherette) skirt in her life. Lottie has hunted down this dark red number at Warehouse which is super for this season as it seems if it’s red, it’s in.
Much like the leather skirt, stripes are a must for any wardrobe. H&M have gone all out with the applique this Autumn and if you don’t favour a slogan tee it would appear you need a stitched embellishment on your top such as these very cute cherries. And all for £12.99 too.
With heritage check and tailoring being all the rage, Lorna has her eye on the Mango Wrap Dress with sweet shoulder detailing.
Heel Sock Boots
While we’re on the subject of Mango, I’ve been noticing all these Heel Sock Boots about in various shades which look very sleek with a midi skirt or cropped jeans. Anyway I’ve just ordered the Mango ones as they’re only £35 and I’m hoping it means I can get a bit more wear out of some of my summer skirts.
I don’t need many things for my Autumn capsule but I do need a couple of smarter items. One thing that made its way into my basket is this khaki embroidered blouse which I’m hoping I’ll be wearing with jeans for meetings or out to dinner.
I already have the & Other Stories Knit Sweater in three other colours and will be adding the dark grey one to my collection too as it will go with absolutely everything.
Finally, our lovely Amy regularly dons a pair of statement earrings and I’m tempted to get myself a pair such as these Next fringe ones which come in loads of different colours. I’m wearing this Zara ruffle dress to my friend’s wedding next week and think the red ones could work?
Keeping with the colour, Lottie tells me you can’t go wrong with the Warehouse light knit with intricate detailing. It comes in a variety of shades including this very autumnal mustard shade.
Lottie has also just ordered this gingham dress from New Look to see her through the end of summer. There’s a 25% code at the moment (TREAT25) so you too can get yourself a bargain.
What’s on your Autumn wish list? Any new purchases we should be adding to our virtual baskets?
